Frequently Asked Questions

How long have you been in business?

2000 I started playing with wax. It took me a few years of experimenting with wicks , wax and fragrance oils before I was comfortable selling our candles to the public.

I have always loved candles and opened our first website Rosegirls Candles in January of 2002.

My candles were 100% soy wax. Our candles were sold in local shops, art fairs and on eBay.

A customer requested wax melts so started making those. I fell in love with chunks and started making chunk cakes, chunk pies and chunk muffins. I also made palm wax melts.I  closed rosegirls candles and started rosegirls chunk wax melts.

To be honest business grew to be too much for us as I was working a full time job and had to make orders up in my spare time. Our daughter Jenny had just graduated from college and was looking for work. I asked her if she would take over the business and she agreed. That was about 10 years ago. She has done a awesome job growing the business to what it is today.

As the years went by discovered I still had the urge to make things and started scoopable wax. After a few years I had health problems and needed to rest. My husband Tim also decided to retire so we closed.

Now we reopened this last year to pay medical bills. When Tim retired he fought cancer three different times. He is cancer free now. We feel we can still be productive at our age ( 66 ) and create wax that people will love. It is no secret that Jenny our daughter supports us 100 % in coming back to the wax world. There has been lot's of questions about our return so hope this clears up any questions.

There is NO added oils that would go rancid in our formula.

No cart hold.

Do you have a newsletter?

No we do not. We keep our customers up to date in our Facebook group.

Do you give Free Samples?

every order will receive 1 free sample.

What are the imperfections on the surface of my scoopable?

There is some frosting of the wax and this in normal for soy wax. The color will be normal once your wax is melted. It is cosmetic only. The only way to not have this would be to not add color to the wax. Not all scoopables will have the frosted look to the wax.

Cure Time?

Cure time is really just a personal preference. We recommend 2 - 3 weeks. The longer you can wait the stronger our wax is.

What wattage of warmer do you recommend?

Our scoopables may be used in all warmers. Using a lower watt will make the scent last longer.

Shelf Life?

Some vendors add oils to the wax when they make scoopables. We use a proprietary blend of soy wax and paraffin wax for our scoopables. There is NO added oils that would go rancid in our formula. Since it is all wax the shelf life is the same as a candle. I believe some of our customers have large collections also and will tell you the same thing.

Using the wax?

Some people refrigerate the jars for a short time and the wax will slide out of the jar. They then slice it to put in warmers. I use a spoon or butter knife to get the wax out of the jar.

Changing the wax out of your warmer?

I freeze my tart dishes and the wax comes out with a butter knife the next morning. If you want to use another scent right away you might want to hot dump or use cotton balls to soak up the wax. Putting a ice cube on top of the wax also makes it cold enough to remove the wax. I prefer freezing the dishes overnight.

Mixing waxes?

you may add another wax to our formula to help with removal of the wax or just to make another scent combo. We suggest our daughter Jenny's ( RG ) mini melter's.

Our Chunk Products?

are made using a Parasoy wax blend. Not the same blend as our scoopables. As we have time we make these items for fun. They are time consuming. Chunks were my first love after making jar candles.
